Data Protection

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force in May 2018.

This legislation is Europe wide and has been written to reflect the digital age. The aim is to give more rights and freedoms for individuals and to bring greater consistency across Europe.

Personal Data is any information that can be used to identify an individual either on its own or when added to something else. This also includes sensitive data which includes race, religion, beliefs and health.

As a school, we are a data controller as we process data about staff and pupils.

The School's Data Protection lead is Mrs Nic Wetton. The School's Data Protection Officer (DPO) is Cheshire West and Chester DPO team: SchoolDPO@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk

On this page, parents can access the school's privacy notice and the Data Protection Policy which has been updated to reflect the new legislation.
